Terms of service

These General Terms and Conditions govern the purchase of products made via the internet on the website www.liod.it, owned by LORAIN SRL, located at Via Industria 1 – 23017 Morbegno (SO), VAT no. 00499020147.

By placing an order using the methods provided, the Customer declares to have read all the information provided during the purchase process and to fully accept the general and payment conditions described herein.
Once the online purchase process is completed, the Customer agrees to print or save a copy of the confirmation email and to retain these general terms and conditions of sale, in compliance with Articles 3 and 4 of Legislative Decree 185/1999 on distance selling.


ORDERS

It is possible to place orders through our e-commerce platform, which is active 24/7. Size information is available on the website. If needed, you can contact our headquarters via chat or phone for further assistance.
Shipments are made only on business days when the company is open; any closures or suspension of shipments will be announced on the website.
Online sales are strictly reserved for personal use and intended solely for end consumers who do not reside in geographic areas covered by an official Liod distributor.
Please note that any form of product resale is strictly prohibited, and we strongly encourage our customers to purchase only through official channels (www.liod.it website, Italian retail stores and authorized international distributors).
 

PURCHASES

 

The Customer can order the products listed in the online catalog available on www.liod.it, as described in the corresponding product information sheets.
Please note that the images accompanying product descriptions may not perfectly represent the item’s features and may differ in color, size, or included accessories.

Prices shown include 22% VAT.
The correct receipt of the order is confirmed by an automatic email sent to the email address provided by the Customer during registration. It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure that the email address and all entered data are correct. LORAIN cannot be held liable for any errors in this regard.

The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided. The data collected is used solely for the purposes related to the order:

- Shipping address and phone number: transmitted to the courier exclusively for delivery purposes (no telemarketing). If the phone number is not provided, we are unable to process the shipment, as it is a mandatory requirement for the courier.

- Email address: used to communicate information or issues related to the order and to send the tracking code to follow the shipment.

- Newsletter subscription: if the user has subscribed to the Newsletter service, they will periodically receive (max. 4 emails per month) Liod newsletters, containing updates, offers, and information about stores and new products.

The Management reserves the right to combine multiple orders into a single shipment and/or invoice, if placed close in time and if the shipping address and/or the recipient are the same.
Any delays in order processing due to multiple orders from the same individual cannot be attributed to the company.

Customers are invited to contact our office directly in case of additions or modifications to the order.

BILLING

ITALY:
Companies requiring electronic invoicing must provide complete billing information, including their SDI code or certified email (PEC). If these details are missing, the invoice cannot be issued (with the exception of face masks, which require prior agreement via email or phone).
Minimum invoice amount: €300.

INTERNATIONAL:
Foreign companies interested in receiving an invoice must contact us directly via website chat before placing an order.
If the order is completed online, it will include Italian VAT, and we will not be able to issue an invoice.



SHIPMENTS IN ITALY

We ship throughout Italy, including the main islands, via courier. Excluded areas include remote zones, the Venice and minor islands.

Orders are processed within 4 business days (except in cases of out-of-stock items or delays due to raw material shortages) and delivery typically takes 2–3 business days via courier. Delivery times may vary significantly depending on the destination.
LORAIN is not responsible for delays caused by the courier due to strikes, incorrect addresses, hard-to-reach areas, recipient not available, seasonal peaks and similar circumstances.

Shipping costs in Italy is €7.00 and it's automatically calculated and displayed before the order is confirmed.
Any additional charges due to remote areas, as defined by the courier, will be at the Customer’s expense. Our customer service will contact the Customer before shipping the order to confirm the address and any applicable surcharge.
Please check the list of remote areas (regularly updated) on the GLS/TNT website.

Shipping within Italy is free for orders over €140.

PICKUP POINTS

It is possible to request a delivery to a Pickup point at the following locations:

MBE (Mail Boxes Etc.) point available at the following link: https://www.mbe.it/en/store-locator

- TNT pickup point available at the following link: https://www.tnt.it/contents/trova-tnt.html

- For GLS: only for small orders – please contact us by phone in advance.

In this case, please include all the pickup point details in the shipping address and clearly specify that it is a delivery to a POINT.

SHIPMENTS IN THE E.U.

For most European Union member states, shipping costs vary depending on the country and are shown before order confirmation.
Please note that we do not ship to areas where an official Liod Distributor is present.

PICKUP POINTS

It is possible to request a delivery to a Pickup point at the following locations: UPS point for small orders (3-5 pcs); TNT point for medium to big orders.

In this case, please contact us before placing your order and avoid extra costs.


SHIPMENTS ABROAD

Please contact our headquarters for shipping and/or customs cost estimates if you are located in a non-EU country or a country not included in the list of authorized shipping destinations.
Please note that we do not ship to areas served by an official Liod Distributor.
 

TERMS OF PAYMENT

Accepted payment methods are as follows:

1) Bank Transfer

Please make the payment only after receiving the automatic order confirmation email.

The goods will be shipped after the bank transfer has been received.

ORDER CANCELLATION

The customer can cancel the order until it has been prepared. To cancel it, the user must contact us immediately by phone calling +39.0342.61.46.22 or website chat. In case of total or partial cancellation, the payment platform fees will be withheld from the refund.


RETURNS

Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal (Art. 59 of the Consumer Code) also apply to our Return Policy. The following products cannot be returned according to current regulations (except for defective products):

-Items made to measure or clearly personalized, or those liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly (orders cannot be canceled once placed)

-Sealed items that are not suitable for return due to hygiene or health protection reasons and that have been opened after delivery, or products that after delivery are inseparably mixed with other goods (for example: products that come into direct contact with skin)

-For hygiene reasons, underwear cannot be returned

-Products of modest value (less than €50)

-If an invoice was requested or the sale was concluded as B2B

Products must be returned in the same condition in which they were delivered, following a request via email specifying the order and product details.

Purchased items must be returned intact, unused, undamaged, in their original unopened packaging, not worn or washed.
If the returned goods do not meet these requirements, the return will not be accepted.

In case of withdrawal from the order, the goods must be shipped at the buyer’s expense, ONLY AFTER WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION VIA EMAIL, to the company:

The company will refund the amount, deducting shipping costs and payment processing fees (bank fees related to credit card payments, bank transfers, cash on delivery, etc.).
Shipping costs for the return of non-defective goods are the customer’s responsibility and will not be refunded.

Return requests must be submitted in writing by email and will not be accepted after 14 days from the delivery date. Without prior authorization from our office, returned packages will not be accepted.

Product exchanges can only be requested if accompanied by the original receipt (sent with the original shipment and placed inside the package). The original document must be included in the returned package. If this document is missing, the return cannot be processed (as per the Revenue Agency regulations).

Once the returned goods arrive at the company, they will be inspected and either approved or rejected. Shipping costs for a second shipment will be calculated based on the destination, according to the courier’s rates.
As a guideline, for Italy the first weight bracket costs €12 (excluding additional courier surcharges, e.g., for remote areas or others).

The right of withdrawal is completely forfeited if the essential condition of product integrity (packaging and/or contents) is not met, in cases where it is found that:

-The product has been partially or fully used
-The external packaging and/or original internal packaging is missing or damaged
-The product itself is damaged
-Essential components of the product are missing (receipt, parts, etc.)
-The seal sticker on the packaging has been removed or damaged

WARRANTY


All products sold by LORAIN SRL are covered by the manufacturer’s conventional warranty and by a 24-month warranty against conformity defects, pursuant to Legislative Decree 24/2002.
The 24-month warranty applies to products showing a conformity defect, provided the product has been used correctly, respecting its intended use and the instructions in the accompanying technical documentation.

The timing for product replacement or repair depends solely on the manufacturer’s policies.
If, for any reason, the manufacturer is unable to restore the product under warranty (either repaired or replaced), LORAIN SRL may, at its discretion, either refund the full amount paid or replace the product with one of equal or superior characteristics.

LORAIN SRL is not liable for any damages resulting from delays in repair or replacement.
Any repair or intervention carried out by personnel not authorized by LORAIN SRL will immediately void the warranty.

A warranty intervention does not alter or extend the original warranty period.
The warranty will not be valid in cases of improper use of the product.


 


LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

LORAIN SRL’s administration strives to keep its website www.liod.it as up-to-date as possible.
Although prices, descriptions, images, applications, and all other information on this site are accurate, they may contain errors, inaccuracies, or publication mistakes, and may be updated or changed at any time without LORAIN SRL being held liable.

LORAIN SRL cannot be held responsible to any person for special, indirect, or consequential damages, or shipping delays related to the material on this site.

The sales contract between the Customer and LORAIN SRL is deemed concluded in Italy and governed by Italian law.
