Terms of service

These General Terms and Conditions govern the purchase of products made online through the website www.liod.it, owned by LORAIN SRL, Via Industria No. 1 – 23017 Morbegno (SO), Italy, VAT No. 00499020147.

By placing an order through any of the available purchasing methods, the Customer declares that they have read and understood all the information provided during the purchasing process and fully accept the General Terms and Conditions and payment terms set out below.
Once the online purchase procedure has been completed, the Customer may print or save a copy of the order confirmation email and is responsible for retaining these General Terms and Conditions of Sale for future reference, in accordance with applicable legislation on distance contracts.


ORDERS

Orders can be placed through our e-commerce platform, which is available 24/7. Size information is available on our website. If you need assistance, you can contact our customer service via chat or telephone.

Orders are shipped only on our business working days. Any temporary closure or suspension of shipments will be announced on our website.

Online sales are intended exclusively for personal use and are reserved for end consumers who do not reside in geographical areas covered by an official Liod distributor.

Please note that any form of resale of products purchased through our online store is prohibited. We encourage our customers to purchase Liod products exclusively through our official sales channels (www.liod.it, Italian retail stores and authorised international distributors).


 

PURCHASES

 

The Customer may order the products listed in the online catalogue available at www.liod.it, as described in the relevant product information pages. Please note that product images may not always be a perfectly accurate representation of the actual product and may differ in terms of colour, dimensions or accessories shown in the image.

All prices displayed on the website include 22% Italian VAT.

Receipt of the order will be confirmed by an automatic email sent to the email address provided by the Customer during registration. The Customer is responsible for checking that the email address and all other information provided are correct. LORAIN SRL cannot be held responsible for delays or other issues resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the Customer.

The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided. Personal data is processed exclusively for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy and, where applicable:

  • Shipping address and telephone number: these may be shared with the carrier solely for the purpose of delivering the order. They will not be used for telemarketing purposes. Please note that a telephone number is required by the carrier to arrange delivery.

  • Email address: used to provide information or assistance regarding the order and related activities, as well as to send the tracking information needed to monitor the shipment.

  • Newsletter (optional): if the Customer has subscribed to the Liod Newsletter, they may receive periodic communications (approximately a maximum of 4 emails per month) containing news, offers, information about stores and new products.

LORAIN SRL reserves the right to combine multiple orders received within a short period of time, provided that the shipping address and/or the name of the recipient are the same, into a single shipment and/or invoice.

Any delays in order processing resulting from multiple orders placed by the same Customer cannot be attributed to LORAIN SRL.

Customers are invited to contact our customer service directly as soon as possible if they wish to request any additions or changes to an order.


BILLING

ITALY:
Companies requiring electronic invoicing must provide complete billing information, including their SDI code or certified email (PEC). If these details are missing, the invoice cannot be issued (with the exception of face masks, which require prior agreement via email or phone).

INTERNATIONAL:
Foreign companies requiring an invoice must contact us directly via the website chat before placing an order. Orders placed directly online will be processed with 22% Italian VAT included. If no prior contact is made, a commercial receipt (sales receipt) including 22% Italian VAT will be issued.



SHIPMENTS IN ITALY

We ship throughout Italy, including the major islands, by courier. Remote areas, Lido di Venezia and minor islands are excluded.

Each order is checked and processed as soon as it's been received (Moday to Friday), except in the event of products being out of stock, delays caused by shortages of raw materials, or company closures. Delivery by courier generally takes approximately 2-3 business days, although delivery times may vary significantly depending on the destination.

LORAIN SRL cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including courier strikes, incorrect or incomplete addresses, destinations that are difficult to reach, the recipient being unavailable, or other similar circumstances.

The shipping fee within Italy is €7.00 and is automatically calculated and displayed before the order is confirmed. Any additional charges resulting from remote or so-called "disadvantaged" areas according to the courier's classification will be borne by the Customer. Our customer service will contact the Customer before shipping to confirm the address and any applicable additional charge.

Customers are advised to check the list of remote or disadvantaged areas, which is regularly updated, on the GLS/TNT website.

Shipping within Italy is free for orders over €140.


PICKUP POINTS

It is possible to request a delivery to a Pickup point at the following locations:

- For GLS: only for small orders – please contact us by phone in advance. (https://gls-group.com/IT/it/trova-sede-parcelshop/)

When requesting this service, please enter the complete details of the selected collection point in the shipping address and clearly specify PICKUP POINT.

If the Customer fails to collect the parcel within the timeframe established by the courier, any storage or holding charges applied by the courier will be borne by the Customer.

SHIPMENTS IN THE E.U.

For most European Union member states, shipping costs vary depending on the country and are shown before order confirmation.
Please note that we do not ship to areas where an official Liod Distributor is present.

PICKUP POINTS

It is possible to request a delivery to a Pickup point at the following locations: 

  • UPS point for small orders (3-5 pcs);
  • TNT point for medium to big orders.

As their website does not currently have a direct Pickup Point integration, please copy and paste the address of your chosen Pickup Point into the shipping address field before placing your order.

When requesting this service, please enter the complete details of the selected collection point in the shipping address and clearly specify PICKUP POINT.

If the Customer fails to collect the parcel within the timeframe established by the courier, any storage or holding charges applied by the courier will be borne by the Customer.


SHIPMENTS ABROAD

Please contact our headquarters to calculate shipping costs if you are located in a non-EU country or in a country that is not currently available for online shipping. Please note that we do not ship to areas covered by an official Liod distributor.

Any customs charges are not included in the online shipping calculation and will be borne by the Customer. The Customer is also responsible for paying any additional costs imposed by the customs authorities of the destination country, including, but not limited to, customs duties, import VAT and any other applicable fees or taxes.


 

TERMS OF PAYMENT

Accepted payment methods are as follows:

1) Bank Transfer

Please make the payment only after receiving the automatic order confirmation email.

The goods will be shipped after the bank transfer has been received.

ORDER CANCELLATION

The Customer may request cancellation of an order until it has been handed over to the courier. To request cancellation, the Customer must contact us promptly by telephone at +39 0342 614622.

In the event of a full or partial cancellation before the order is shipped, the amount due will be refunded using the same payment method used for the purchase.


RETURNS


WARRANTY


All products sold by LORAIN SRL are covered by the manufacturer's warranty and by a 24-month legal warranty against conformity defects, in accordance with applicable legislation. The 24-month legal warranty applies to products showing a conformity defect, provided that the product has been used correctly, in accordance with its intended purpose and the instructions provided in the accompanying technical documentation. The time required for product replacement or repair depends on the applicable procedures and, where relevant, on the manufacturer's policies. If, for any reason, LORAIN SRL is unable to provide the Customer with a warranty solution, whether through repair or replacement, LORAIN SRL may, at its discretion, either refund the full amount paid or replace the product with one having equal or superior characteristics. LORAIN SRL shall not be liable for any damages resulting from delays in repair or replacement. Any repair or intervention carried out by personnel not authorized by LORAIN SRL will immediately void the warranty, where permitted by applicable law. A warranty intervention does not alter or extend the original warranty period.

The warranty does not apply in cases of improper use of the product. 


LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

LORAIN SRL makes every reasonable effort to keep the information published on www.liod.it accurate and up to date.

However, prices, product descriptions, images, applications and other information published on the website may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies or omissions, or may be updated or changed at any time. LORAIN SRL reserves the right to correct or update such information without prior notice.

LORAIN SRL shall not be held liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the information published on the website, or for delays in delivery caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, without prejudice to any rights and protections that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

The sales contract between the Customer and LORAIN SRL is deemed to be concluded in Italy and is governed by Italian law. The competent court shall be the Court of Sondrio.
