Eng. Fernando Scotti presents an avant-garde report at the International Congress of Textile Fibers, which takes place in Dorbin (Austria) every year:
"THIN BARBED POLYPROPYLENE YARNS, PASTE-DYED AND TEXTURED"



1987


Eng. Fernando Scotti experiments and studies the Polypropylene fiber
Start presenting garments to customers to test them
The first company "Reziafil" in Europe dedicated to the production of discontinuous thread in 100% Polypropylene opens



1989


Maria Scotti, a real dogs-lover and especially Alaskan Mamamute, begins to collaborate with her father in Reziafil.
Creation of the first 100% Polypropylene items branded LIOD
The label represents an Inuit with the founder of the Alaskan Malamute breed "Woolly Bully"
The first articles are Gripp, Kearsage (name of dogs Alaskan Malamute who crossed the south pole twice with Admiral Bird), Cila (Maria's favorite dog), Ghibli, Abaska.
The first practical test on LIOD clothing line are done in various mountaineering expeditions
The word spreads around and LIOD is requested by specialized groups


1994


Development of a network on the Italian territory with a catalogue of new models and colors
Start of the research to innovate and improve the presentation of the product
Development of a widespread commercial network and the first e-commerce website

1995


Growth of the Morbegno headquarters, offices and warehouse

1999


Supply for the Carabinieri (Italian police officers) for the military mission in Kosovo.

2000


Supply to the French Army

2005


Opening a new Liod store and expanding offices in Morbegno (SO)

2006


Starting the official selling in Russia, through a widespread distribution

LIOD turns 20: we celebrate our birthday with a special shirt
