Lombardy Region President Attilio Fontana visits Liod by Lorain in Morbegno (SO).
Morbegno, 16 July 2025 – As part of the institutional tour “Lombardy Protagonist – Here You Can”, the President of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana, accompanied by the Councillor for Economic Development Guido Guidesi, visited the production site of LORAIN SRL, known on the market with the Liod brand, a point of reference in the technical sportswear and leisurewear sector.

The company, with headquarters and a laboratory in Morbegno (SO), has specialized for over 30 years in the production of 100% polypropylene garments, ideal for extreme climates, outdoor activities, and high-intensity professional situations.
During the visit, the delegation was able to observe all stages of in-house production up close: from the research laboratory to the packaging, up to the single-brand sales point, where customized garments for sports groups and rescue professionals, such as Alpine Club and Rescue Team, are also shown.
The visit represented an important recognition for a company that has maintained an entirely Italian supply chain for years, promoting values such as quality, sustainability , and innovation.
In a direct discussion with the owners, crucial issues for the manufacturing sector were addressed: from youth training to the sourcing of raw materials, up to the need to promote companies that implement a truly Made in Italy production cycle, thus contributing to the economic growth of the regions.
President Fontana declared:
“Visiting businesses means experiencing firsthand the value of our region and the great commitment that entrepreneurs and workers put in.”
